Mint tea ceremony and Moroccan pastries
Learn the art of Moroccan mint tea – the “Berber whisky” – and taste gazelle horns, ghriba and chebakia.
In Morocco, mint tea is much more than a drink: it is the ultimate gesture of hospitality. It is made with gunpowder green tea, plenty of fresh mint and sugar, then poured from high up to create a light foam.
In a traditional house, our host shows you every step – rinsing the tea, adding the sugar, “marrying” the tea by pouring it back and forth – and explains the tradition of the three glasses. All served with home-made pastries: gazelle horns, almond ghriba and chebakia with honey and sesame.
A sweet, friendly break, ideal between two medina visits.
